Pastry Cook produces all baked items for service in the restaurant and catering functions, ensuring that all are prepared according to standards and specifications.

What you will be doing
  • Ensure all in-house produced bakery items are prepared on time and in the required amounts.
  • Maintain Bakery Production Chart and Cleaning Schedule on a daily basis.
  • Help reduce leftovers by monitoring production; properly store all items and utilize leftovers. Rotate, label, and date all food items.
  • Maintain cleaning standards in immediate work area, equipment, and bakery carts. Ensure that all stations are properly cleaned at end of shift.
  • Maintain proper Bake Shop pars of production levels according to estimates on the production sheets; maintain freshness standards.
  • Assist in prep work as required for next shift.
  • Practice safety standards at all times.
  • Prepare all bakery items according to recipe cards and correct handling procedures. Ensure that all items requiring refrigeration are put into refrigerator/freezer.
  • Maintain clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
  • 2-3 years previous experience as a baker or pastry cook required.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Can communicate well with guests.
  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
