Spa Hair Stylist creates memorable experiences with customers by providing customized hair care treatments based on needs and preferences. Responsibilities include shampooing, cutting, coloring/highlighting, styling, scalp treatments, updo, special occasion and bridal hairstyles.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Consult with clients on stylistic options for their hair and provide recommendations based upon their preferences.
  • Describe different hair care products and their benefits.
  • Shampoo, cut, color and highlight hair. Updo, Special Occasion as well as Bridal Hairstyles
  • Perform scalp treatments.
  • Build a personal relationship with clients to ensure return visits.
  • Keep updated on hairstyle trends and styling methods.
  • Introduce and promote new beauty products to clients and educate them on their uses and benefits
  • Keep clients updated on currently available promotions and discounts in services offered in the Spa
  • Assist in getting client feedback on level of services delivered in order to improve on service delivery
  • Receive customer complaints and feedback and direct them to appropriate offices for resolution.
  • Notify engineering of maintenance of repair needs.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with others.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • While working, it will not be uncommon to handle and move large boxes of inventory. Must be able to lift and carry at least 20 pounds.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduation or GED completion.
  • Licensing from a cosmetology school.
  • Previous experience as a Hair Stylist or colorist.
  • A wide pallet of styling and coloring techniques.
  • Proficiency with hot irons, curlers and blow-dryers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service related skills.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel.
